. . . for the kids. At Pre-K, we teachers only get paid for the day before school starts, which means setting up the room "off the clock," which we're really not supposed to do, either. Everybody does, though, 'cause you're danged if you do and danged if you don't (shh, don't tell!). The day before school is half taken up with meetings and Open House anyway, so that time is shot. Happy back to school, everybody!!

I thankfully don't start back until Aug 30th! :) I get two days prep and 1 full day of meetings.

I think people really underestimate how much time it takes to prep for working with kids. I may get those 2 days prep but I'll be doing stuff all this month. A bit here and a bit there to get ready. Like I'm making 15 really cute fish out of old CD's. I don't really need to do it but the new decorations in our room would look so nice. I also have 4 papier mache bugs that need a little tlc. We never can find the time during the school year to fix those bugs up, so I finally took them home with me and will mend them, clean them up and shine them up. They're so cute too. . .they were made by 5 year olds who are now in grade 5! We get so many comments when people walk in the room and see those bugs hanging from the ceiling.

I wanna go back to school! Schools aer teh suck! No real responsibilities, plenty of young girls to humiliate you, bullies to push you around.

Ahhh how I miss this time of year.
