When I had all of mine done, I made sure the ice was done and the gauze changed when I was supposed to. I didn't have any issues at all. There was some soreness -- you just had teeth yanked out of your head.
I took percocet for the first day and stopped. I didn't like the way they felt. I dealt with the pain, instead.

yeah, i dont need the gauze anymore, they stopped bleeding after the first day...and im weeing myself off the vicodin...they gave me tylenol 3 and i wanna get on that, the vicodin is making me sick because i cant really eat stuff, so taking it on an empty stomach makes the pain go away in my jaw, but i get queasy.

My husband got dry socket when he had his wisdom teeth removed and oh boy was it noticable. His neck swelled up to the point it looked like he swallowed a balloon!! He had trouble breathing even. He went straight to the surgeon's office and the receptionist took one look at him and called a nurse immediately. I won't tell you how gross it got from there. He was ok though in a day.

I didn't have dry sockets when I had my bottom 2 impacted wisdom teeth pulled. But yeah, what Panz said.
Also, I had phantom pain occasionally where the teeth used to be for something like 3-4 years. Freaky having something hurt that isn't there anymore.

I was wondering the same thing lol
I had a tooth yanked last year, and once the freezing wore off I was fine.
Even eating pizza that night.
What did they remove on you? just teeth? or part of the jaw bone too?
