A few changes with the Xpack RE: Clan services

Post by Ncatyl » Mon Jul 18, 2005 1:18 am

Likely the folks who use this board won't need to read below.

1) Tinkering
--As our clan batteries (the buff bots) will no longer be available, please be prepared to, on occasion, provide tinkering buffs.

2) Questing
--If you cannot buff yourself, take care of that before go-time. Start with your patron and friends you know. Don't walk into a sortie at the last minute and expect your buffs to be floated. Don't spam the whole freekin' clan.

3) Buffing
--See Questing, above. This is especially true if you're just out grinding XP; that's what patrons are for (except for chainers). No spam todo la familia.

4) Corpse Recovery
--Likely as normal. If you do something REALLY dumb like lose your arse when you knew better, we'll break out the brown lumps, point, laugh, and take LOTS of screenies. I personally will NOT jump into a pit filled with Uber Penguins, least of all to pull your butt out!

In the early days of AC, spec'ing Run wasn't considered a waste of credits or XP and knowing where to die was one of the first skills you developed as a player at the keyboard.

Aiight. Play ball!

Good post, NC.

I put alot of points into Quickness as a mage, so I could run away. :) Now, it's just helps me get to point B faster. :)

I've seen a LOT of names on the allegiance channel today that I've never seen before. Most everyone has been really polite and patient. Two qualities I admire.

Reminder:
Patrons, take care of your vassals. Min-Maxers, bite the bullet and learn to buff.

Need directions or quest info? I suggest you check Maggies FIRST, before spamming the clan. Especially if you're doing something as basic as swapping skills and stats.

Broadcasts on the /a channel are chiefly how I receive a first impression of someone. Make it a good impression.

Yay! no more buffbots!

I've always hated those things, now we can get back to some good ol'fashioned gimpin :D

And to all my vassals, feel free to ask for buffs ;)

If Mists Pheonix is to be found at mansion, feel free to ask for buffs. Only when at mansion, becasue that means she is salvaging and preparing to blow stuff up!

Funderwear and Mamoulian will buff if asked politely - O T has the capability but lacks the other scrolls - so donate those and he'll be buffing as well.

Not sure how many toons I take to ToD - depends on quality.

Will take one to being with and if I am all happy happy joy joy will take 4-6 more. (got 19 accts total atm - only playing 5 or 6)
