Graphics Update

You can download the update early and prevent a monster lag.
Don't install it until Monday, after the XPAK goes live.

If you already played the preview you will not need the DL, Turbine states.

hmmm I didn't think the graphics upgrade was in the preview. There were some upgrades, but I thought they were going to release more for the release. Maybe they are going to update during patches.

(Bold by me to emphasize that the Preview basically *was* the Graphics Update already).
Initially the Preview included the client that is on the ACTOD CDs that should have been pressed a bit ago (to allow distribution). Then during the Preview it got patched a few times fot the most urgent stability and performance issues.
Basically it is the upcoming "Standard Client" for both AC/ACDM and ACTOD players. So even if you do not purchase ACTOD you will get this client - when patching happens sometimes next week (you don't really think that servers will be online and *working stable* earlier than Wednesday, do you ?).
So every player will see new textures, new trees,.... and the new User Interface regardless whether TOD was purchased or not.
People who actually bought TOD will get even better "High Quality Textures" during the next regular patches.
I assume that the "Graphics Update" to be downloaded is the patched client version from around the end of the Preview.
If you do NOT download it now and install it for instance during server downtime, you will get the very same client through Client Patching when you log in - even if you do not activate ACTOD:
But it will take significantly longer than the download.
If you install the client from the ACTOD CD (once it is available) it will be patched too, but much less - only those modifications from the Preview and whatever they fixed since then.

Ok - I need to correct my above post a bit :
If you do NOT upgrade the client at all and launch the ACDM client, it appears to be patching by upgrading the Launcher.
But then it will direct you to the Download page of the Graphics Update instead of patching the client in the Blue-Vials screen.
