I hate all-day headaches. You know the kind that is centralized in one spot (I call them pinpoint headaches) and have that nagging dull pain that's just bad enough to make you feel lousy? Eccch.

Is it caused by anything you had to drink last night?

There's a neural pressure point in the meaty part of your thumb, research it online to find out exactly how to apply pressure to it, it almost always relieves pinpoint headaches.
Come talk to me when you get a migraine

I feel for you. I get bad headaches like that. It helps me to be in a totally dark cold room. Helps the bllood vessals constrict and the blood to flow. Good luck and relax a little. Pamper yourself

It finally went away. I wonder if it was the weather, because it has been rainy off and on all day and sometimes I get weather headaches in my sinuses. I tried everything, took DayQuil, ibuprofen, sinus/allergy tablet, Excedrin (not all at once), moist heat, cold pack, hot coffee, hot bath, slept off and on all day. It finally went away after I went and lay in the bed instead of on the couch. Still a little tense in my shoulder and neck, but the head pain is gone.

You climb into a refrigerator and close the door behind you?

I never thought about that before; maybe I'll think about trying that one day...

I sometimes suffer from migraine headaches and one time it was really bad. I made my hubby take me to the emergency room since nothing was working. They had me lie down and then brought an ice pack. It didn't make it go away but oh my it sure helped! I was able to open my eyes and move my head without feeling like millions of pins were pricking my brain. I now take one of those gel ice packs and put it on the back of my neck and often the pain goes away.

I usually use moist heat since the cold pack just seems to aggravate it, but I was ready to try anything yesterday. I sometimes have tension headaches during the school year (hmmm, stress?), but this was more sinusy. I once had a bad headache years ago when I took my husband to the doctor after a car accident. It felt like someone was pulling my eye out and pulling the back of my head in on the same side. The doctor wrote me a prescription for Fiorinal with Codeine and didn't even charge me for an office visit. I only took the codeine if I couldn't get comfortable any other way so I wouldn't get dependent on it. I don't think I get migraines, and usually my tension headaches are at the end of the day, but now and then I wake up with a sinus headache, it lasts all day, and I am worn out by the time it goes away in the evening.

Well, even if that doesn't cure it, it would sure make me glad I had it!!
