I saw a Reinforced Oaken Chest in the dires today. Don't remember if there were VoD chests there before. Also, I got a Sturdy Steel Key from a high level Bandie, and another one from a mutilator.

Yes there were VoD chests before. To be opened with those Marble Keys and Granite Keys (much more expensive on the market). You carve those from unfinished/broken keys looted from various VoD monsters.

I do not know though what names the chests had and whether there are new ones after patch.

The Sturdy Steel Keys (and their chests) are definitely new since patch.

i have 7 steel keys now, spent a buff looking for a chest without luck (need my detect plugins :))
