Pee-Wee, it's not so much a mage's world, as it is a rich person's world - if you have uber items, that's what does the damage - I agree, mages do hit rather hard, but there are ways to cope with that now, so that it doesn't hurt *as* much.

I think it's fairly balanced, but, levels definitely come into play.
I read a book saying that women are from venus, all right? So here's what you get her: Thick layers of sulfuric acid, viscous surface rock, and coronae which seem to be collapsed domes over large magma chambers. Here's $5.

Pee-Wee, I see your point, and it does have some merit. But I've seen many Bowers Brutalize mages, and I mean Brutalize! And as far as melee goes. Just look at Compadre, Gohan, etc... they are all successfull PKers.

Yes, mages do have an advantage. But I figure, I'm a VERY average PKer, and I've still killed my share of mages. I don't care what anyone says, a 186% mod Xbow hurts! Little slow, but when it hits, it hurts. And I SUCK!

I'll probably die the first round, but the point is, if you don't want to do it, then don't. No one is forcing anyone to do this. I have like a 1% chance of killing PK's like Khaz, or Cloud. But you can bet your rear-end that I'm going to try  That's the fun.

I hit Rage of Mages for like 100 points once...then I was ganged  So it is possible. Look at Cross Hair, he was killing Mages left and right for awhile.

So take it or leave it. But I did not want this FUN event to turn into this. If you have a problem with it, then don't sign up, but at least come and watch us gimpy melee's and Bowers take a crack at the mages!

Oh, you missed my point completely. :)

I was just saying the random matches should be less random and more towards each skill.

I know there are good melee PK people out there, but, it's a mage world, for sure.

If we are doing match things like this to find the "best LD PKer", it's a safe bet it's going to end up a mage. I just think we shouldn't weed out all the melee people to begin with.

Why not split it up and have the best of both worlds. Then, have them go at each other.

When it just comes down to a battle, hey, that's great, and I'd LOVE to get in on something like the old one that was posted. Two teams, going at it, that would be so awsome.
