Under close inspection of satelite images, our intelligence sources are able to prove (through these images) that the fellow that was lost on this quest had signs of cheese being rubbed on their necks. It is a well known fact that any time a person has cheese rubbed on their neck they become dis-oriented by the foul fumes emitted by said cheese. It is also known that "cheese aroma" can cause navigational equipment to not function properly. Cheese Aroma Gas or CAG was originally discovered in WWI by the French by accident.
