Economy is shot?

Like I said they are scared but there is really no reason to be alarmed but if u are go ahead and sell me your smalls lol! Well I see no holes in my theory long as my bot sells smalls there is no hole only people tryin to get smalls cheap!

If you would like to get rid of a couple of smalls, I am currently looking for some so that I can get some GSA for my smaller characters. If the price is right I will buy them off of you. I don't have much but will try to meet your price or bargain with you since I give most of my stuff away to vassals, friends, or other clansman.

I dont know of what to trade them for, i dont need plats, I have 900 of those, I dont need notes, I have 90 points worth of those. I dont like sings because I use them and get squat for them in the troves. if you think of something I might need, then you can have some. Smalls for me were like gold, I didnt use them I just saved them and they took up less space then my other forms of $$

I'm sure the Democrats will try to blame Bush for the economy of Dereth as well.

I say we just blame that dang Busbasawa, the Blacksmith in Al-Jalima. He's sorta had it in for all of us for a long time. Just go look at his shifty eyes, and that half hearted smile he gives. Sometimes, I just wanna smack the crud out of him.

Ok - I understand that you are upset now. But AC like every MMRPG is a changing world - you cannot expect that everything from monster spawns to skill requirements to trading keeps the same all the time.

What happened 1.5 or 2 years ago ? Motes where the one and only trade item as every melee and his mother had to have 4 Atlan weapons - because of the break rate when changing the Stones.
People got rich from Motes, others like myself worked hard for weeks and months to hunt/afford them (low level, no buffbots, no 7s).
I even sometimes had to consider buying Stamina Elixiers or save the cash for Motes....
And then ? Suddenly Atlans were worthless, better and better loot weapons arrived. Now you collect Motes for a Writ maybe, but not for an Atlan or Isparian weapon. And you definitely do not buy them anymore.
And my Atlans are collecting dust on my cottage wall (after I had to carry the useless nodrop weapons around for months).

So in fact I did waste a big part of several months to achieve something that became worthless within a short time. Did I - or any other melee I know - leave because of that ? No.

Furthermore I think the chance is high that Smalls will gain value again once the Devs adjust the spawns and drop rate - and maybe even add some value to Shadow Armor (as I had read in some DevChat or so).
The chance is higher anyway than that my once-expensive Atlans will gain some boost.

I admit that the last economy change was fast and cruel. And I do not understand why the Devs did not be more careful when destributing those "special loot creatures". I mean - I found several Diamond Shields within one buff cycle and didn't even bother to pick them up. And in the South Dires you stumble across a boss creature on every radar range.

But if I start to consider that a reason to leave the game I would have to ask myself if AC is the right game for me in the first place.....

I am sorry I don't see the hole in my theory since I sold 8 more small last night on my bot for 30 pts each. I also bought 2 for 24 pts each. I also killed about 20 more frags yesterday and no smalls for me

Anyways u really should go out and check out the scene before u start listening to the minorty of peeps on the boards that would like you to believe you are now broke cause all u have is smalls. My advice relax it will blow over! Hey but what do I know, I only play AC 70hrs a week.

I think it takes time to reflect I agree that I may have rushed to believe what the anti-smalls bunch has tried to pull off, but with age (and good looks I might add

) comes wisdom. So now I see the light and will continue to act as though this made little impact if any. You can see my current thread on the VN boars about this very subject here.

It seems like we had this same conversation when they rolled out the patch with all the high AL armor. Everyone started selling off their stuff before it became 'worthless'. Nobody stopped to realize that the AL might have been high, but so was the craftsmanship. I bet a lot of you are regretting selling your old armor now. (I thank you all, for my stash of low cost, low burd, low craft, high AL platemail... I wasn't so quick to shout 'The sky is falling') =)

All I am saying is this... Who knows what they may be planning for the next patch. Unless I am mistaken, the fact that the game changes was one of it's SELLING POINTS =)

If you are quitting the game because they have "screwed up the economy", you are playing WAY too much. It's a game, not life =)

Oh, and, when all else fails... try using M NOTES... sheesh, it's what they were INTENDED for.
