All the joke aside.. this really is quite serious.

People so often think that it's rather hyped up....

This was the belief of a former brief patron. .. He got permabanned back at the end of March. He's not been able to play any of his characters {including his 150 plus} since then. His Dad and him wrote and wrote to plead it.. but pleas go unheard. They just send an automated msg... and they aren't interested in replying or removing it.

Others think that they will let permabans back.. but read the AC boards.. they are not letting them back ever.

If you UCM {and this could apply to unpopulated areas also.. if there's a very zealous admin on} you stand the risk of never being able to play your char again.

If you report someone for UCM. You are dooming them to the possibility of permanent ban.

ALSO NOTE: If you report too many times.. they can permaban you.

Panzer gives very wise and good advice, both on UCM, and reporting to HC first if you see one of ours UCM'ing.

A fact from real life that applys to the game. In fact it applies to just about everything.

Maybe you have a skewed sence of right and wrong.
Its all about the ability to live in peace, and excercise as much of our freedoms as possible without infringing on anyone elses abilty to do the same.

Whatever somebody does is their own business, as long as it only affects them. (White end of the spectrum) Maybe its socially unacceptable, but its still only their problem. (gray area) This is an example of right and good.
Somebody has paid the same $10 you have, and what they do doesnt affect your ability to play the game, so thet are in the right.

As soon as it affects anyone else in their community negativly, theyve crossed a line. (Black area) Example of wrong and evil. Somebody sets up in a heavily populated area, and affects your ability to get kills, or casts 20 different portals to create lag and confusion.

Laws are there to protect us from each other. Maybe we dont recognize that something has had an adverse affect on another. Therefore there have been guidelines setup by those who came before us, to let us know when we may be approaching behavior that may not be acceptable. UCM and portal spamming have the ability to negativly impact other players. so the guideline has been set, this may affect your fellow people, dont do it.

Its all about our own views and opinions, thats why this is such a hotbed of controversy. Let me relate it to AC =) In AC 1 and 2, Three powerfull kingdoms exist.

Order- The order of Asheron, believe in all things good and right. The law doesnt matter as long as we stay in the white area.

Shadow - The followers of Bael' Zharon are there just to inflict evil and darkness on the followers of asheron. The law makes no matter as long as we stay in the black area

Dominion - The virindi believe there is no good and evil, only the law. The balance of white and black fluctuate, but we walk a straight line, following the law to the letter.

So where do you stand? We can see right here where our opinions lie.
