An historically accurate template (if possible)
Trying to put together an historically accurate template of a samurai. Any ideas would be good. I am looking to use this char for pk in the future so any help would be good.

ok...as historically accurate as is possibe....hmmm...you will get owned as pk.
The samurai qorked around amy differnt styles of combat, the most common form found was a quick vigorous attack hopeing to slay your enemy before they could slay you. due to devoteign all of your ki to an attack, if you did not succeed you tended to leave yourself very open...to work in historical accuracy you will have some rudimentary melee defense, but only what you could get from untrained in typicall game standards. du to the abundance of skill credits and the fact that magic is found within the game and not within reality...
I would suggest a Sho Sword template, spec sword, spec magic and missile D (the armor worn by most samurai tended to negate most light pericign attacks.. aka, arrows)...go with high quicknees corrd and strreangth, but dont put everyting into those in case you actually want to be abel to cast spells at any point (translateing focused medidtation be fore a battle to be "buffing" in preparation)
To effectivly roleplay this charachter, you must show honor at all times, If you encounter a person of another race they are inferiror to you, do nto show this in a cocky "I will own you way", more as a lord walkign throguh a feild in his lands looking over the peasants as they go about the harvest. If you encounter another sho swordsman the lesser will yeild to the greater (determine this by level or skill). a sho of any other type of weaponry should be granted repect, though they are not a samurai so therefore they are still beneath you. a sho mage would be considered a wise one (focus and self beign the key atributes means this person must dedicate most of their lives to medidtation and thought) and should be deffered to if present except in matters between samurai. Thoguh the samurai still considers himself the lord of the realm the wise one is still wise in all matters, and therefore respected.
The charachter must be male as women are not allowed to even train with weapons much less use them in combat.

I'm thinking about not thinking which when you think about it really makes the whole thing kind of thoughtless.

no offense DL...he asked for historical accuracy.. I have studied various forms and histories of many cultures...att eh time period when the samurai were around the same rules were in place everywhere else....only difference being was that if a woman was caught pretending to be a man in the east she was executed.

oh yes.. and a couple terms of note (may nto be entierly spelled correctly...)
Ki... a persons spirit, thier energy from within
Kiai... the term for the yell used when you make an attack....the yell starts right before you start your attack and continues through the entier move... as all samurai were men saome fo them took to screaming like a woman (in a very high pitch) so as to trhow off their enemys, who even thoguh knowing a woman in combat was agaisnt all rules and was to be executed, they were wary to attack for slaying women and children brings much dishonor.
Shanai... your practice blade...a good thign to refer to your weapon as untilly ou find one that is worth keeping and imbueing etc.
