If you go to this web site, type in your name and the state you live in. It will give you all the information about you. Your phone number, address, and a satelite pic of your house. I guess privacy is gone.

That is really freaky. I picked three people I knew and got their addresses, phone numbers etc.

One of the issues I believe is that the US has very lax privacy laws. In Canada a very comprehensive privacy act was enacted in January 2005 that is apparently similar to the tough privacy laws in the EU. Americans are very unprotected.

American's aren't unprotected. They've just got to do for themselves. I can see more use in this site right off.

I imagine if you entered the required data and found yourself living somewhere you didn't and with a wrong phone number, that it'd be a good idea to check up on your credit report.

I do have issue with our lax privacy laws. Especially when it's a goddamn constitutional guarantee that can be abridged only through due process.
