1024x768 3D area is Black (XP)

Well after suffering with a black 3D area in AC for many months I broke down and called tech support. 4 hours later, can't wait to see the phone bill, the problem was not resolved and the final answer was "we'll be working on a resolution". A few day's later I found this post

I'll save you the trouble of following the link and tell you that if you have a 32MB or 64MB video card and running Windows XP you solution could be as easy as uninstalling security patch Q328310, see microsoft.com for more information on the patch.

I've uninstalled the security patch and I'm now living back in the high resolution world :D
